Localized Cryo
A new type of device for facial and localized cryo-stimulation, that works on liquid nitrogen (LN2). It is used as a non-medical device, popular in sports, wellness, and beauty applications. The cold vapor is used to hyper-cool select areas such as muscles and joints to help reduce swelling and pain – similar to an ice pack. However, unlike icing, the dry cold is pleasant to the touch despite reaching temperatures of -140c (-220F) and below.
For beauty applications, such as the popular Cryofacial, the extreme cold temperatures cause an instant tightening of the skin, followed by an increased blood circulation due to vasodilation after the cold exposure. Clients report a “healthy glow” after the Cryofacial. The long-term benefits are younger looking skin due to natural mechanisms triggered by the body (collagen stimulation).
